Eleonora Cresto

I completed undergraduate studies in Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires, and received my Ph.D. from Columbia University (NY), in 2006. Currently I am Associate Professor at Universidad de San Andrés (Buenos Aires), as well as a Permanent Researcher at the CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research)/ IIF-SADAF.

I work mainly in formal epistemology; my recent papers deal with problems in game theory and social choice theory. I've also written on general epistemology, philosophy of science, epistemic logic, decision theory and, recently, the philosophy of AI. I've published in Mind, The Journal of Philosophy, The Journal of Philosophical Logic, Synthese, Social Choice and Welfare, Studia Logica, and Studies in History and Philosophy of Science, among others.

Since 2024 I’m the Secretary-General of the Division of Logic, Methodology, and Philosophy of Science and Technology (DLMPST; https://dlmps.org/), of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology.

I'm also Editor of Erkenntnis (https://link.springer.com/journal/10670).
