Esteban Ortiz currently holds a scholarship at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET, Argentina). Developing his doctoral research at the University of Buenos Aires. His doctoral research is about panpsychism, metaphysical explanation, and the combination problem. Most of his research in the last few years has focused on the connections between Sartre's phenomenology and the self-representational theories of consciousness to explain phenomenal consciousness. He specializes in philosophy of mind and metaphysics. Have competence in contemporary philosophy and philosophy of science. Also, he has a strong interest in modern philosophy and political philosophy. His works have been published in Revista de Humanidades de Valparaíso, Límite Revista Interdisciplinaria De Filosofía y Psicología and Daimon Revista Internacional de Filosofía. Is a member of Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas de la Sociedad de Análisis Filosófico (IIF- SADAF) and Sociedad Chilena de Filosofía de las Ciencias (SOCHIFIC).
