Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas (IIF) - Sociedad Argentina de Análisis Filosófico (SADAF)
The Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas was created in 1978 with the aim of organising and supervising specific research projects carried out by those members of the organisation who were recognised at the level of researchers. For some years it functioned under the name "R&D area". The main areas of research at SADAF are: logic, philosophy of science, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, ethics, applied ethics and philosophy of law. Currently, it brings together all the research activity carried out at SADAF, including researchers and fellows from CONICET, SADAF and other institutions such as ANPCyT and research projects supported by national organizations (CONICET, ANPCyT). International cooperation projects have also been carried out at the IIF (with DAAD, DFG and NEH). The IIF is an Implementation Unit (UE) of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) since 2017.
The IIF upholds the principles of:
- Non-discrimination by ethnicity, religion, gender, or political ideology.
- Pluralism of ideas and rational debate.
- Academic excellence.
The activities at the IIF include regular meetings of various working groups, seminars, and also scientific meetings and conferences.
