
Eduardo Rivera-López is licentiate in Philosophy (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and Ph.D. in Political Sciences (University of Mainz). He has been Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, John Simon Guggenheim Foundation fellow. He has also been H.L.A. Hart fellow (Oxford). He has published books in Argentina, Spain, Germany, and México: Los presupuestos morales del liberalismo (Centro de Estudios Constitucionales de Madrid, 1997), Ensayos sobre liberalismo y comunitarismo (Fontamara, 1999), Ética y trasplantes de órganos (UNAM y FCE, 2001), Preguntas de vida o muerte. Diez ensayos de bioética (Marcial Pons, 2011), and (as editor) Controversies in Latin American Bioethics (Springer, 2019). He is author of several articles on moral philosophy and bioethics in international journals, such as Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, Bioethics, Journal of Applied Philosophy, Philosophy & Phenomenological Research, Journal of Value Inquiry, Law & Philosophy, Utilitas, Ratio, and Journal of Medical Ethics. He is currently full professor at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and independent researcher at the CONICET (National Council of Scientific and Technological Research of Argentina).
