Nicolás Lo Guercio
I obtained my PhD in Philosophy from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2015. Currently I am a Postdoctoral fellow at National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology (ANPCyT). I specialize in Philosophy of Language and Epistemology. Within Philosophy of Language, I have worked on the semantics-pragmatics divide, proper names and contextualism/relativism about truth. At present I am investigating the relation between expressive meaning and non truth-conditional meaning in general and hate speech. I'm also working, together with Ramiro Caso and Alfonso Losada, on epistemic relativism and on anti-realism about norms, thanks to a grant by the National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology. Within Epistemology, my main interest is in the Epistemology of Disagreement, Higher-Order Evidence and epistemic akrasia.
